A Bit About Me
Monty is the MAC Masters Athlete Representative for OAAS and has been involved in Artistic Swimming since they were nine years old, starting with Tsunami Synchro. Over the years, they’ve been part of both Tualatin Hills Synchro and MAC Synchro as a youth and Masters athlete, and they also spent about four years coaching at Tualatin Hills. Artistic Swimming has been a huge part of Monty’s life, teaching them discipline, adaptability, perseverance, and the importance of working as a team. With experience as a youth and Masters athlete as well as a former coach, they bring an interesting perspective to the role and are excited to be more involved in the synchro community—especially in finding new ways for Masters athletes to stay engaged. Right now, Monty is working on their Master’s of Social Work at Portland State University.
